SCREEN TEST

EVERYTHING IN THE 60's SEEMED TO BE ABOUT THE FUTURE AND LOOKING FORWARD AND WHAT WAS MODERN AND NEW. SURE, THINGS ARE LIKE THAT NOW AS WELL, BUT NOT IN THE SAME WAY. IT FEELS LIKE NOW-A-DAYS PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. IN THE SWINGIN' 60's, PEOPLE WERE MORE OPTIMISTIC ABOUT WHAT MAY COME: SPACE TRAVEL, MODERN LINES, BRIGHT COLORS, ULTRA POP CULTURE AND CONVENIENCES THAT IMPROVE EVERYDAY LIFE!!!

ALL THESE THINGS ALSO REMIND ME OF COURREGES, THE ULTRA SLEEK AND MODERN FRENCH FASHION LABEL MADE WORLD FAMOUS IN THE 1960's. DESIGNER ANDRE COURREGES MADE NOT ONLY THE BEST MOD CLOTHING AROUND ( OK, PIERRE CARDIN DID TOO!) BUT ALSO DID SOME AWESOME PRODUCT AND FURNITURE DESIGN. THIS LITTLE PIECE OF ART I'VE MADE RIGHT HERE IS A NOD TO ALL OF THAT: MOD, TV(furniture), 60's, WITH A PAST-TENSE FUTURE FEEL.
